- The Social Media Class at Brighton Area Schools worked with many local businesses this semester including Brighton Yoga Center, Nerdageddon, Oh My Lolli!, Bulldog Boutique, Brighton HS Alumni, Habitat for Humanity Restore Livingston County, and STAYbowl Tip-Proof Pet Bowl to learn about and use many social media platforms to help the local business and to learn throughout the process of creating and providing many ideas and changes for the businesses.
- This class will explore social media techniques to promote a business. For example, students will create and publish live websites, blogs, apps, QR codes, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google docs and many other social media tools that will get the company's message out and increase web traffic.
- Students create a social media campaign based on a topic of choice. When complete students will have an online functional business produced.

- Students were part of a Google Hangout session hearing from the CEO of a company about branding a business and how to start a business from a concept to a profitable company. Check out the video.
- Students participated in a guest presentation from a former BHS student, Megan Land. She currently is the director of social media for a large company focusing clients in the medial field.
